Dress #17 "Ho Ho Ho, Oh No, Oh No, this Christmas craft has got to go!"
2012 / #7
The Christmas creations craft bin of remnants used in projects over the years. Sorted and tossed on a regular basis, this bin held the remaining items that needed to be either used or thrown out. I used to make ornaments for every child in my kidsâ elementary school classrooms each year, dated and with the name of the teacher and the grade. I have two such ornaments from the 1960âs when I was in elementary school. Decorated wreaths were a common present from me as were handmade ornaments for every family member. Those days are over so a dress was destined as the final tribute to my crafty self.
-Mylar table cloth from the early 1990âs
-plastic bag used for wrapping some odd shaped gift
-gold pipe cleaners from the Hall of Fame fashion show, the year I decorated in purple and harlequin and sunflowers date?
-silver pipe cleaners with bells used for summer camp neckerchief slides in 2012
-remnants of gold garland from our Christmas tree probably mid 1970âs
-9 rolls of 12â long gold star garland
-2 strands of red star garland, 12â each
-I strand of green star garland 12â long
-one fluffy Christmas bow
-light bulbs from trees, perhaps even my Grandmothers! Who knows how old
-spray painted pine cones from some long ago preschool craft project, early 1990âs
-a dozen or so pearl colored clusters from wreath projects, mid 1990âs
-silver cut out stars from the 30th anniversary gala of the Cultural Center, 1999 event
-2 snowman buttons from a long discarded theme sweater
- small items used on ornaments
-one big ornament that came on a wine gift bag
-2 Santa cards signed by my Mom and given to my sons for Christmas 2011
-Big jingle bells
-1 wishbone because we used to save them from every holiday bird and hang on the tree for good luck
-gold trim, thread, hot glue, wire
-a few bead strands left over from dress number 18 after it was completed.
Stand = none used, this is a pedestal piece
Nametag = Aultman Hospital 2011 medical staff holiday party nametag
