-The flower/corsage at the waist is made from: silver mesh stockings from the disco era of late 1970âs worn at the Big Apple Disco, piece of vintage jewelry, Christmas ribbon and leaf leftovers, beaded leaf from a wedding themed chair donated to Chairedible at some point in time.
-Nametag is two sided and hidden under the gold peplum. One side is my business card circa 1987 and on the other is a photo of me in my red sequin âpageant gownâ and some super high â80s hair!
As I sorted items into their dress categories, shiny and metallic things kept accumulating. Once I committed to cutting the black sequin skirt realizing I would seriously never wear it againâ¦the design for this creation fell into place. Like all the rest, it will be an ongoing work as I find more and more little scraps of pretty things!
