Generational Wedding Gown and Party Dress
Another bin of Anna D’s laces has been reimagined into this generational wedding gown and part dress. Over 100 yards of hand tatted lace has been used to make the multiple pieces of this garment. A thrift store adult sided dress is the base. A detachable wrapped skirt can be removed, revealing belt made from the toddler dress. The shoulder wrap is removed and replaced with a lace covered cropped jacket whose sleeves are made from curtain sheers. The head piece is then turned around from veiled front to floral back. All colored pieces are from a toddler’s size 4 party dress. Combining adult with child sized garments and using vintage laces with modern clothing inspired the title of this piece, wedding ceremony first, and reception to follow.
