A play on words to the extreme is the reason for this piece. How many types of Queens can I put into one painting? From left to right, follow along…Mr. T is first, hence the T, but they are also having tea. Freddie Mercury from the band Queen is serving some tea to the table. A beauty queen stands up holding a T-square (yes, I tried to get T’s in there too). The Queen of England is the guest of honor at the tea party. A drag queen has her well in hand. On the wall is Nancy Pelosi, the self proclaimed queen bee of government. Perhaps the most difficult reference is the triangle taped to the table top which represents the Delta Queen. Look through the piece to find other things which relate or perhaps they don’t. Sometimes, paintings are just for the fun of challenging only me.
