The idea came from a photo I took in Las Vegas while shooting pictures for my Fascinating Faces show. Her face was too far away but the gesture and her “image” were destined for this series. She was not really hiding her dog in the shrubs while it did its business, but I had seen other people sneak pups into the shrubs so why not improvise? She wears white pants that are too tight, a common Vegas fashion statement, and is overly “matchy-matchy” in her accessories. The shopping bag represents my successful Christmas season sales of ‘Guin paintings.
